Biology Questions about spider silk?

Little Freckle asked:
1. What monomers combine to make spider silk? (i’m guessing amino acids, but are they monomers?)
2.What importance is it for spiders to have their silk molecules packed in a beta-folded sheet? (i wrote “so it will fit inside them”)

QUICKSILVER asked:
Silk is a protein in which polypeptide chains are arranged in a beta pleated sheet. IN these chains, the peptide sequence is glycine, serine. glycine. alanine, glycine and alanine, this occurs repeatedly. DRAW THE STRUCTURAL FORMULA FOR THIS HEXAPEPTIDE AND SHOW THE PEPTIDE BONDS IN COLOR. please help
